Indian Peaks Neighborhood
The Beginnings – Mc Stain
There are currently over 2000 homes in the Indian Peaks neighborhood Lafayette CO. However, when construction first began in 1997 there were just a handful of homes located in a quiet farming community. The builder, Mc Stain wanted to create a community for the Boulder-environmentalist. At the corner of 95th Street and Baseline in Lafayette Colorado the Hoyt family of tom and Caroline envisioned highly energy efficient homes that would provide a sense of community and urbanism in an area that was formerly known for its roots in agriculture and coal mining. The Indian Peaks neighborhood Lafayette CO first broke ground in 1996. The first homes to be built were in Greenlee Park by Waneka Lake and Village Green on the East Side. At this time the communities of Hilltop and Starlight Ridge also emerged. These are all smaller neighborhoods within the large community of Indian Peaks as a whole.
What We Love

Mention the name to any Boulder’ite and they are familiar with the beauty of the area. The Indian Peaks community is known for being adjacent to the Indian Peaks Golf Course which leads to many homes that have gorgeous, wide open and expansive green views that lead to the backdrop of snow capped mountains.
