Blue Heron Estates in Lafayette Colorado is known for its luxurious and spacious homes on sprawling lots and the large trees that have matured beautifully over time. The first filing of home builds was in 1993 and slowly filled in until 2006.  There are a total of 137 in Blue Heron Estates, not including Blue Heron South where there are an additional 50 homes. The homes average with 3,500-6,000 square feet but each house is unique and has its own style and character.

The community experiences a rich connectedness of neighbors. The homeowner’s association strives to create special activities that encourage connection among members. This includes an annual Easter Egg Hunt, new neighbor luncheons and other holiday parties. They even host a family camp-out in the big main park!

Speaking of the park, there is an expansive green space in the center of the neighborhood. This space serves as a meeting point for residents who play games outside, have picnics, and gather for events or parties. There are tennis courts at this park that are available to residents for use. There is even a pool and clubhouse that serves as the heart of the community. Families can use the clubhouse for entertaining friends and family while everyone enjoys access to the pool.
