Cross Creek Neighborhood
Cross Creek Lafayette, CO
The Ridge at Cross Creek is Lafayette’s hidden gem! This community is located at the northwest corner of 95th Street and Arapahoe on the Ewing Homestad land, who were homestead farmers in Lafayette. The community benefits from being on the most western side of town in a quiet pocket adjacent to open space and fields. This offers the residents a quiet and comfortable lifestyle without many interruptions. The homes in Cross Creek tend to be larger, single family homes that have nice sized lots. That is probably because construction began on this subdivision in 1983 before developers began to sacrifice lot size and maximize the number of homes in a development.
In 2015 there were only eight single family homes in the Ridge at Cross Creek that changed owners! The average price for one of these homes was about $520,000 with a median value around $480,000. That says that the average is being skewed by higher priced homes. There are only 90 homes in this community total and they are all located on cul de sacs, which is great for keeping cross traffic at a minimum.
The homes are all within easy access to a very nice central park in the Ridge at Cross Creek. The recreation area is equipped with a shade structure for hosting parties and picnics while staying sheltered from the Colorado sun. There are also plenty of swings, a slide and other toys for the kids to run around and play with. The community itself hosts many events to bring the neighbors together including a spring fling party, annual garage sale and a summer picnic. In the winter there is a holiday lighting ceremony, sleigh rides and a food drive to benefit the local community. See this link for more information about the Ridge at Cross Creek HOA.
