Vista Pointe is technically it’s own neighborhood, but is sometimes mistakenly put under Vista Ridge. The Vista Pointe neighborhood in Erie CO is a beautiful neighborhood. The houses are spread out perfectly so everyone has their own space. The streets are large enough to have parking on both sides and still have room for two lane traffic.

This neighborhood is very friendly, especially with family. You will almost always see kids either playing in their garages or outside in front of their house. The parents are okay with this because they know that this area is safe for their kids. Two of the biggest factors that the residents love Vista Pointe is that it is family friendly and very safe. They never have to worry about crime happening around them or when they are away vacationing.

The neighborhood has a welcoming feeling. It is always clean and well-maintained by the residents and the community leaders. To make sure that the neighborhood stays friendly with everyone there is an annual garage sale and Easter Egg Hunt. Each year the whole neighborhood has a garage sale and take turns shopping. However, people who do not live there can stop by and shop as well. There are fliers that are passed out and a big banner that hangs at the entrance of Vista Pointe. The Easter Egg Hunt is one of the neighborhood’s favorite activities. There are usually over 3,000 eggs filled with candy that are hidden for the kids to find. After all the eggs are found, the kids gather their candy and return the eggs for next year.

The majority of the neighborhood are very active people. They will always be outside taking a walk or walking their dog, rain or shine. There is a very nice open space that a lot of people like to walk to. It’s also a good area to let the dogs free and play. Throughout the whole neighborhood there are amazing views of the mountains. Looking down the street or out your window you can see the beautiful Colorado mountains. The air is fresh and clean, which everyone loves.

The Parks

To add to the fact that Vista Pointe is family friendly, there are several small parks spread throughout the neighborhood with one big park in the middle. There is an “adult themed park” which just means that there is an area where adults can gather and talk. There are benches and trails surrounding this park. The park is the small area called Encana Park which is fairly close to the entrance of the neighborhood. The big park in the middle has a lot to offer the kids. There are swings, slides, monkey bars, balance beams, a sand pit, and many toys they can spin and make noise with. There is also a gazebo with picnic tables underneath. You can use this area for parties, a lunch date, or a place to sit and watch the kids play. Depending on the time of year there might even be a tether ball. There also a few other small parks throughout the neighborhood, each one different.
