Doug’s Day Diner
Doug’s Day Diner is a great place to get amazing food in the middle of the day. As the name speaks for itself, Doug’s Day Diner is only open during the day and closes at 2:30pm. They offer a variety of food from breakfast to lunch specials. When looking at the menu, you might see some not so common food combinations. They have a couple of burgers that might make you cringe when you think about it. However, they swear that each burger has been taste tested and all taste amazing. The burger I order was delicious! When it first came out the bread looked like it would be really hard to eat, but it was actually very soft and ended up being the best burger that I’ve had in a long time!
Doug’s Day Diner really knows how to keep the diner feel of the restaurant. When you walk in you are greeted by the host who will direct you to a table of four or the bar. The bar has round spinney chairs, which really accentuates the diner feel. The chairs that are located at the tables are very comfortable. You will see that they have chairs lined up along some of the walls. They do this because it can get really busy during the rushes, and they want to make sure that everyone has a seat; whether that’s for eating or waiting.
The walls are painted with their color theme – purple. Sometimes when a room has a couple purple walls, it can seem like a lot. But they picked out the perfect shade of purple, that it’s more calming than it is too much. On almost all the walls, they hung up art work, including paintings and pictures. So while you eat you can take a moment to look at the art work they feature. By looking at these, you can see a little more about the company. They promote nature artists. All the paintings and pictures that are hung up have a theme of nature. Take a look at them when you go and let us know what you think about them.
I definitely recommend taking a lunch date or meeting to Doug’s Day Dinner. They have something to offer for everyone. Let us know in the comments if you go or have already been and what you think of their amazing food! We would love to hear.
