Fishing With Kids in Boulder County

Fishing is a great way to enjoy summer time fun with your family, and luckily for us, Boulder County has some of the best spots to go fishing with kids. Whether you are looking for a way to relax and unwind on a Sunday morning with your kids, want to teach them the trade, or want to add another element to your active weekend adventures, fishing will serve you well. As the temperatures go from warm to hot in the summer, finding a nice shady spot along the lake or creek is the way to go. Be sure to pack plenty of water, a few snacks or a full blown picnic to enjoy on your adventure. Many spots allow dogs, though most require them to be on a leash, so it really is an activity the whole family can enjoy.
Boulder County regularly updates the rules and regulations for fishing at all of the available spots, so be sure to check them out before you choose a spot. The very best part of fishing with kids? 15 and under are absolutely FREE! Fun and affordable? We can all agree on that! Just be sure that all adults over 15 have their fishing license before you head out on your adventure!
