Where to Find Recycled Building Materials
One of the best, and easiest, ways to build equity in your home is through improvements, and when you do those improvements yourself, you keep that equity right where it belongs. Some home owners may think that the only way to save money is to do the labor themselves, but we are here to tell you otherwise. You can also score great deals on recycled building materials at a few local spots.
ReSource is the first place to find some really great deals. Whether you are after a pedestal sink, hardwood flooring, a doorknob, or a screen door you just might find it here. The list of recycled building materials to be found at ReSource feels endless, but it really does depend on what happens to be there when you visit. Sometimes you will even find brand new items that were extras on building sites. Many contractors simply donate those extras to ReSource so you just might get lucky!
Habitat For Humanity’s ReStore is another great option when on the hunt for recycled building materials. Similar to ReSource, you will find a wide variety of items here. Everything from complete kitchen cabinet sets, granite countertops, and beautiful windows are just a few of the possibilities to be found here.
Both of these places are also great to keep in mind when doing your own renovation, as you can easily donate unused items back to these great not-for-profit organizations. Plus, who doesn’t like helping out this great big beautiful earth we all call home?! Recycling whenever possible is definitely the way to go, and it is so in style right now that you can find good deals around every corner just about!
