BMoCA Children’s Art Camp
BMoCA Children’s Art Camp was the perfect launch to our summer of fun! There are classes available in the morning, afternoon or your child can stay for both sessions. We choose to stay for both because it is better with our work schedules AND because our child LOVES art! The teacher, Heather, made the experience both fun and also educational. They were free to create what they wanted with little direction and lots of various materials. Then at the end of each session the children would talk about what they created and why. It was like a proper critique that one would experience in an art class or museum environment.
There were interns from CU at the BMoCA Children’s Art Camp. They helped the children stay inspired by doing the art together with the kids. My child showed me the drawings that her favorite interns did for her. I could see that my child aspired to be as proficient as the interns who were drawing with her. I really appreciated the freedom that was afforded for the children. It is important to me that the kids are given the ability to express themselves within the parameters of the materials provided.
Consult their website BMoCA Young Artists At Work for details no how to get your child involved in these creative courses!
