Salvadoran Food in Boulder County
If you find yourself on the hunt for a new and exciting cuisine to please your palate in Boulder County, why not give Salvadoran food a try… we couldn’t recommend Pupusas more! This little gem of a food truck is located on South Boulder Road, just north of downtown Louisville and is a nice and easy stop on your way to whatever adventure you have up your sleeve.
With a variety of flavors to choose from, the pupusas continue to get rave reviews from customers and offer options for vegetarians and carnivores alike, not to mention they are gluten free!
Be sure to give the sides that come with it a try. While pickled cabbage and stewed tomatoes might sound like a strange compliment to the main attraction (pupusa!), we assure you they are mouth watering and offer the perfect pairing to your pupusa. Afterall, why try Salvadoran food if you aren’t going to jump in with both feet?
The only way this great little spot could improve is with the serving materials, we are not fans of styrofoam!
What is Salvadoran Food?
The pupusa is the most notable dish from El Salvador and for good reason. These thick tortillas made from either corn or rice flour, are commonly stuff with a variety of ingredients, including cheeses, meat, beans and vegetables to suit your palate. Yuca Frita (popular vegetable dish) and panes rellenos (fried baby squid) are also popular choices.
