julie whalenI am Julie Whalen, born and raised in Northern New York. I moved to Colorado in 1991. Since 1991 I have lived in many parts of Colorado and have made  Lafayette my home since 2007. Lafayette offers a variety of events and activities for everyone. I personally enjoy the yoga community.  

I have spent 30 years working in the corporate world. My first college degree was in Medical Laboratory Technology providing me with a foundation for being highly organized working with precision and accuracy. These skills will be utilized when assisting Real estate clients to ensure that all the precise details of their transaction are met.  

My second degree was in Construction Management which is a professional service utilizing specialized project management techniques to oversee the planning, design, and construction of a project from beginning to end.  Construction Management has benefited the Fix and Flip and remodel  aspect of my Real Estate Investments. My understanding scope of work, costs and potential pitfalls of a construction project can also benefit my clients as they embark on their own investment properties.

My third degree was in Occupational Health and Safety Management.This knowledge enhanced my abilities to further manage Construction projects and organizations being able to continually improve performance and compliance to legislation, regulations and jullie whalenstandards.  In Real Estate I will continue to strive for excellence in adhering to the  specifications and guidelines of all Department of Regulatory Agencies as well as an elevated level of ethics as required by the Board of Realtors.  

In regards to Real Estate, I purchased my first property when I was 19 years old. I took the $6000 my grandfather left me and purchased a trailer. I made improvements on the trailer and two years later I sold that trailer for a profit. From that point on I had the “Investment Bug”. I have bought and sold 15 properties giving me the ability to spot a strong investment which will appreciate and return a profit. I also manage my own rental properties. With this experience I can help clients understand how to value potential rental income, how to generate high returns and how to navigate potential difficulties that may arise.

I recently decided to leave the corporate world and enhance my work in Real Estate as a Broker. With all the joy and success that I have had personally in Real Estate, my goal is to enrich people’s lives and experiences in their transactions and maximize their returns.
