Blue Heron October 2016 Real Estate Update
Typical fall real estate trends extend into the Blue Heron neighborhood. Generally in October, there is less inventory and less active buyers as families return to school and everyone gets geared up for the holidays. One home closed in Blue Heron South, just under asking at $645,000 ($141 per square foot). This home was professionally decorated and the basement remodel was beautiful but the layout was still not ideal with a small kitchen and lack of access to the small yard. This, coupled with a time of year, is the likely reason for the below asking price.
Two more homes remain on the market: 2528 Cowley Dr has reduced their asking price to $829,950 and is a beautiful home with a main floor master, fully finished basement and absolutely amazing gardens. It was under contract briefly and the buyers only got out of the deal when they discovered it is against Blue Heron’s covenants to have chickens. 1767 Casey Ct also remains active on the market with a lofty asking price of $1,145,000 – all of us neighbors are cheering for this sales price!
